Linda Pendleton's poem: The Edge of Forever

Across the infinite expanses of the universe,
through the swirling mysteries of the cosmos,
my soul awakened, recognizing its place.
At the edge of forever,
spinning through time and space,
the spark of acknowledgment flashed,
ignited, exploded, convulsed,
bringing to an immediate halt
all semblance of time.
Reaching out, pulling to my breast
all that encompasses infinity;
standing at the brink,
discovering the uniqueness of my self,
I drew into me all there was to absorb.
At the edge of forever,
recognizing the magnetic force,
the enormous cosmic implication of another soul
merging, fusing,
harmonizing with mine.
Through the cosmic evolution,
two souls,
each with its own uniqueness,
accelerating through the universal vastness;
two souls in unison
from the edge of forever and beyond.
